Customized Solutions
Mobilicom's solution and products have been created with the customer in mind with the following features:
Generic Platform – Mobilicom designed, developed and manufactured a generic hardware platform as the basis of its products portfolio for a specific reason - the possibility to customize the solution. The generic platform enables both Mobilicom and its customers to optimally use, modify, alternate, add or change the product software, firmware and hardware on the generic platform to suit their needs.
Mobilicom designed the generic platform in such a way that will enable the customer to use the platform independently for other purposes, in addition to Mobilicom’s communications solutions.
The generic platform also offers the customer access to resources and additional components available on board in order to add applications, IP cores or to interface with the customer's other products and systems.
Additional extension ports are available to add customized or off-the-shelf cards inside the product unit, allowing the possibility of adding hardware or peripherals. Through such extension cards one could add access to Wi-Fi, WiMAX, Cellular or video capabilities and other technology.
Open Platform – The Mobilicom products and solutions are based on an open platform concept. The internal architecture, tools and Linux operating system were used to allow easy access for our customers. Mobilicom also offers a flexible Application Programming Interface (API) to the platform hardware, firmware and software. These features enable the customer to independently use the product in a larger system, or to develop and add their own solutions on the platform.
Mobilicom’s generic platform and open design also allows customers to support backward capability for communication with their previous generation devices. Customers can embed their background IP to enable a multi-technology solution compatible with these other devices, something that would not be possible with off-the-shelf standard wireless products.
SDR (Software Defined Radio) Modem – Mobilicom's instant, ad-hoc/mesh, 4G mobile modem was designed and developed as SDR Modem. The modem’s advanced design enables Mobilicom to change, modify or configure an unprecedented number of parameters that set the wireless link capabilities. This feature enables Mobilicom to best fit and optimize the product to the customer's specific application and usage. Mobilicom’s solution is unlike other wireless products that are predefined, off-the-shelf standard products with set configuration only.
